Select
Select (V) is the basic tool. It is on whenever no other tool is active, and V always
brings you back to it.
One panel
Section titled “One panel”- Double-click a panel in the 3D view to open its Edit Panel form. A single click does nothing — so you can’t select something by accident while turning the camera.
- Clicking a row in the Manage · Panels list does the same.
Eopens the form of the panel that is already selected.
While the form is open, the other panels turn see-through, and above the 3D view you see the
panel’s short ID and size (e.g. 564×582×18).
Several panels
Section titled “Several panels”In the 3D view:
Shift+ click adds a panel to the selection or removes it.
In the panel list:
- Turn on Select multiple panels.
- Tick the panels. The number selected is shown above the list.
- Pick an action from Bulk actions:
- Edit selected together — one form for all of them. Where values differ it says Mixed; whatever you change is applied to every selected panel.
- Duplicate selected, Delete selected.
- Hide selected / Show selected.
- Group selected — makes a group from the selected panels (see Groups and drawers).
The Holes, Joints and Cutouts tabs are hidden while you edit several panels at once — they always belong to one panel.
A group
Section titled “A group”- Clicking a group in the list opens Edit group (or Edit drawer for drawers).
- In the 3D view:
Alt(Mac:⌥ Option) + double-click a panel of the group opens the form of the whole group. - While you edit a group, you can only select panels of that group.
Filtering the list
Section titled “Filtering the list”The Filter panels by name or ID… field above the list narrows it to panels whose name or code contains the text.
Stepping back
Section titled “Stepping back”Each of these takes you one level back:
Esc,- a double-click on empty space in the 3D view,
- the back arrow in the inspector header,
- Finish at the bottom of the panel form (
Ctrl/⌘+Enter).
Press Esc repeatedly to get back to the panel list and the Select tool.
