Resizing the object

  1. Object card → the pencil in the Information header. Object parameters opens.
  2. Type the Width, Height and Depth (at least 100 mm). You can also type -18 or +50 — the app works out the new size.
  3. Click Apply (or Ctrl / ⌘ + Enter).

While Resize panels with object is on, every panel adapts to the new size. Two things decide each axis:

  1. The lock next to the panel’s size — a locked size stays the same, an unlocked one adapts. Thickness is locked from the start. See Editing a panel.
  2. The axis’s anchor — whether the panel stays by an edge, in the middle, fills the opening or grows with the object. See Resize anchors.

Example. You widen a 600 mm object to 1200 mm:

Panel Before After
Left side, 18 mm 9 mm from the left edge still 9 mm from the left edge
Bottom between the sides 564 mm 1164 mm — still exactly between the sides
Back between the sides 564 mm 1164 mm

Groups (e.g. drawers) adapt the same way, and then the panels inside them, following their own anchors.

When Resize panels with object is off, only the object box changes — panels keep their size and position. Useful when you only make room for a new part.

If panels overlap or stick out of the object box after a resize, a red badge with a number appears at the bottom right. Click it to see which panels are affected. Undo the resize with Ctrl / ⌘ + Z.

The Clearance margin is the minimum distance from the object to walls and other objects in the project’s 3D view. It expands the outer outline (placement envelope) and doesn’t change the panels.

  • All sides — the same margin on all 6 sides,
  • Per side — separately Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Front, Back.

You see the outer outline with the Show outer outline (envelope) toggle.

Enable secondary box adds a second box to the object for panels that stick out of the main outline — e.g. fronts in front of the carcass. You position it with Offset X, Offset Y and Offset Z.
