First project and first object

A project groups the objects for one client or one room. Every new account already has a project called My first project, so you can add an object to it right away.

  1. Click New project — in the top bar or in the Projects section of Home. The N key does the same.
  2. Enter the Project name and choose the Type (e.g. kitchen).
  3. Client and Deadline are optional — you can add them later.
  4. Click Create project (or Ctrl / ⌘ + Enter).
  5. Open the project from the list. The Objects table is empty for now.

An empty object is only an outline — a box with the given outer dimensions and no panels. You add the panels yourself.

  1. In the project, click Add object and stay on the Empty tab.
  2. Enter the Object name, e.g. Base unit 600.
  3. Enter the outer dimensions: Width (mm), Height (mm), Depth (mm).
  4. Click Add to project. The 3D editor opens right away.

Starting from a template is faster: you get a complete carcass with every panel and adjust it from there.

  1. Add object → Template tab.
  2. At the top, choose System (templates we prepared) or Mine (your own saved objects).
  3. On the template you want, click Use. The editor opens with the finished object.

A template keeps its own dimensions and name. Change the name in the editor with Rename and the dimensions with Edit Object — see Editor tour.

Every object of the project is in the Objects table on the project page, with its dimensions, material and panel count. Clicking a row opens the object in the editor.
