Catalog

The Catalog (sidebar) holds finished objects you can add to a project. Everything you add from the catalog stays fully editable — dimensions, materials, edge bands and hardware.

Search catalog… and the categories narrow the list.

On an object:

  • View in 3D — a preview before adding (dimensions, panel count, author, description),
  • Add to project — a copy goes into the project you choose,
  • Copy to my catalog — the copy becomes your private template.

You can also add a catalog object from the project: Add object → Catalog tab.

Only you see a private template. You get one in three ways:

  • New template in the catalog — enter the Template name, click Create and the template opens in the 3D editor. Changes save automatically.
  • New group template — the same, but for a panel group (e.g. a drawer) you use in the object editor.
  • Save to my catalog on an object in a project.

Your templates appear in Add object → Template → Mine.

You can Archive a template you don’t use; Restore from archive brings it back, Delete permanently deletes it.

You publish an object to the public catalog with Share to catalog (in the catalog) or Publish (on an object in a project or on your template).

  1. Enter the Title and Description, pick the Category and Difficulty.
  2. If the object uses your private materials, pick a public material for each (Choose a public material…). Other users can’t see your private materials. Your object in the project stays unchanged.
  3. Click Publish.

A publication may wait for review (awaiting review) before it appears in the catalog.

You can withdraw a published entry: Return to private moves it back to your private templates, Unpublish removes it from the catalog.

Edit profile changes how your workshop appears in the catalog: Workshop name, Location, Description and the avatar.

If you built a piece from the catalog, you can add photos of the finished piece on its page under Photos from real builds.

You can edit a catalog object with Claude or ChatGPT — a copy is added to a project first, and the assistant then edits that copy. See Continue in Claude / ChatGPT.
