Editor tour

The object editor has the 3D view in the middle, the inspector on the left, the tools on the right and the status bar at the bottom.

The inspector has two parts you can collapse with their arrow:

  • Manage · Panels — the list of every panel of the object, split into Carcass panels, Dividers and shelves and Groups. Each row shows the panel code (K01, PL01 …) and size.
  • The Object card — the Information part shows Dimensions, Thickness and Anchor (the point positions are measured from), and below that the Material and Edge band for the whole object.
  1. Click the pencil in the Information header. Object parameters opens.
  2. Enter the new dimensions. You can also type -18 or +50 into a field — the app works out the new value.
  3. Click Apply (or Ctrl / ⌘ + Enter).

While Resize panels with object is on, the panels adjust to the new dimensions by themselves. How exactly: Resizing the object.

  • Clicking a row in the list opens the Edit panel form with the Properties, Material, Holes, Joints and Cutouts tabs.
  • In the 3D view you open a panel with a double-click. A single click on a panel does nothing.
  • While the form is open, the other panels are see-through.
  • Double-clicking empty space, the back arrow or Finish take you back to the list.

Everything about the panel form: Editing a panel.

  • On the left are the camera views: Perspective, Top, Front … With a panel open, the views switch to the panel itself: A B a b c d.
  • In the middle are Undo and Redo (Ctrl / ⌘ + Z).
  • On the right is the zoom: −, the percentage, +.

Below the tools are the display toggles (transparent panels, fronts only, dimensions, outline, grid), and at the bottom Viewer settings (S). Esc leaves the active tool.

  • ? at the bottom of the right rail opens the docs page of the tool that is active.
  • Sections of the panel form have a book icon next to the title — it opens the page about that section.
  • Help in the left menu opens these docs.

The docs open in a new tab, in the app’s language.

The panel count, Units: mm and the save state — Saved with the time. You don’t have to save anything: every change is saved right away. If you open the same object in another tab or on another device, the changes show up live.

When panels overlap or stick out of the object’s box, a red badge with a number appears at the bottom right. Click it to see which panels are involved and by how much they overlap.
